Melico Salazar Theater

Is a public theater, is considered as national heritage. it has a capacity to host 1.180 people. This theater belongs to Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud since 1980.
This place is use to present a diversity of cultural events like dancing, opera, music, etc.
You should visit this theater because of: it is located in the center of San José downtown, so, is easy to get there, also, because is considered one of the national icon of our country with beautiful architecture design.

Orchestra
Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Costa Rica (OSN)public national institution that is part of Ministerio de Cultura y Juventud. It is located in San José and their principal object is the musician´s formation, also lyric art. It is integrated by 72 musicians, a 87% are Costa Rican, the most, trained in the institution. This Orchestra makes around 70 and 90 concerts per year, divided in six seasons.
